Richard Gürtler Super Fata belongs to the most talented projects within this thrillingly ambiguous style. It's another miracle from Norway!!! Jan Roos masterfully navigates Super Fata through spectacularly fascinating gaps and his own, all-intensive insignias are constantly presented in full bloom. After "Structural Tendency" we have here another magnum opus by Super Fata!!! Keep on droning, Jan, no matter if scuba, caving or trekking, the gear is always ready!!! I won't hesitate to call you a Maestro!!!

about

Percipient (pəˈsɪpɪənt)

1. able to perceive
2. perceptive
3. a person or thing that perceives

"I see music as close to the primal languages of nature, in contrast to the very focused, but also tunnel-visioned, verbal languages of modern humans. I am fascinated by living beings that are evolutionary far from us, communicating and interacting in very different ways, ranging from mechanistic reflexes to actual awareness of their surroundings. It is my intention to create soundscapes that sparks the listeners imagination to enter these alien realms of awareness."

- Jan Roos

"Roos’ slow-moving structures, built on electronic-wind foundations and a broad sense of dimension, almost feel like a slow pan through a highly magnified landscape.... Percipient is a very deep release, and headphone listening is very much a must. Roos is dialed in to how complexity works, even in the more minimal confines of drone, and his layering is a pleasure to dive into."

Hypnagogue review

hypnagogue.net/2016/08/13/super-fata-percipient/

"Wow, this is another mind-blowing ride showcasing potential to even chase milestones such as "Blood Machine" or "Apeiron"!!! "Percipient", the title long-form track closes this absolutely triumphant exploration with arising drone solitudes, which intermingle with flimsy fragments, glimmering gargantuan reverberations and remote ephemeral rumbles. Spiraling choir-like drones are perpetually counterpointed with abyssal monochromatic hums and pinnacling transcendental discordances. Darker than the darkest, deeper than the deepest, enter now the most oracular territories proficiently revealed by this Norwegian soundcarver and fully experience a gamut of his intricate dronescaping bravuras. A pure 32-minute sonic delight unlocking the gates of the Drone Pantheon!"

about

Super Fata Oslo, Norway

Super Fata is the electronic music project of norwegian composer
Jan Roos.

The music ranges from harmonic to completely abstract and atonal, or seamlessly morph between the two. Most of the music is deeply multi layered.

Roos´ approach to music is heavily influenced by an extension of synesthesia, senses and sensations are intertwined; everything experienced as an aspect of something else.
